Lanterns As Wedding Decor

I’m not sure what it is but I have a little obsession with lanterns. Whenever I see them on vacation, I’m immediately smitten.

Of course I made sure to incorporate them into our wedding but there are so many beautiful ways to do so. Hang them from a tree, or line the walkway to your tent. They can work for ceremonies, receptions, and lounge areas equally well. I also think they are an excellent way to save on florals without sacrificing style. Just remember that a grouping of several lanterns make the greatest impact.

Hi there! I just stumbled onto your blog and love it! I’m a New York based designer as well, but I’m a stationery designer, not a wedding planner/designer. I had lanterns everywhere at my wedding – I think they take regular candlelight to a whole new level :)
